End of game Item.
The Skin is rare as a random drop. or better yet: Crystalines are EXTREAMLY rare, but whya re they all over auction? Simple: You are looking for them in a place where they are often found, Sort of like a funnel, People go to Auction with their Dead or Crystaline Swords. |

dead swords are not rare. they are rare as any other rare drop in the game.
but they are WANTED. demand > supply = high prices just what happened with phoenix blades.... where anyone and their mother wanted one of those price was 100+50 ectos for a 15^50 r8 one. people over farmed them supply > demand = price sinked |

The rarest skin in the game in the Serpent Axe. If ever a req7 15^50 Serpent Axe was discovered, that player would become THE richest player in GWs.
Dead swords are popular for god knows what reason... IMHO they are fugly as sin. Elemental Swords are a ok... but not worth what people are paying for them. i would rather buy another of my characters FoW or have a fun contest on guru.... oh wait... |

non-max serpent axes drop on Shing Jae Island. I got my max serpent axe from the locked strong box outside THK before it was removed. I believe I got my Dwarven axe from the same place.

Dead swords are far from rare, and once more people start getting to end game, because of the fact that any colour will do as long as it's max damage the prices will drop faster than a nine-year old's balls at a bikini competition

It all has to deal with the supply and demand, basically if you get a cool looking skin and no one has it, you can control the price and people are dumb enough to not wait a couple months for the prices to go down. And then people find out about this "rare" skin and they over farm for this skin so they can cash in. It happens with just about every new skin and will keep happening until GW dies.

I'm pretty sure colossal scimitar is the rarest skin in NF, I've seen 2 on guru, and that includes PC, I think that's gonna be one of the only skins rare enough to stay expensive
